Montana Evening Sky
These shots were captured on a recent camping trip. All shot the same night.
I was trying to capture the sky reflection on the Spotted Bear River, it is close what I was trying to convey.
I liked the colors in this one.
This light is strictly moonlight with a couple of lights seen in the Ranger complex on the left. Flathead River with cable (swinging) bridge.
This is a 61 minute exposure looking north.
I particularly like the third from the top photo. Do you know the meta data on this shot. Night shots are tricky and it is alway helpful to get other’s information on how they did theirs.
Thanks! I shot this at 30sec with a 28/3.5 lens, ISO-100. It’s an old manual lens and I think the aperture was at 5.6. I didn’t think it turned out until I looked at it with Lightroom and did some basic adjustments. Even at 30 seconds you can start to see the star swirl.
Thanks, I’m going to have to think more about night shots. Your information is helpful.
Nice set of images. I really like the composition of no 1.
Thanks! Its a great place for photos.
gorgeous !
