Calliope
The smallest bird in North America north of Mexico, the Calliope Hummingbird inhabits mountain areas of the northwestern United States. It is the smallest long-distance avian migrant in the world, spending its winters in Mexico.Shot in North Central Washington, Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area.
I’ve photographed humming birds before with great difficulty. I can appreciate these shots.
Thank you! This is where patience is a virtue.
